Every city runs on infrastructure nobody sees: manholes, lift stations, wet wells. Sewer gas eats the concrete, and years of corrosion end in leaks and lost strength. Cities have spent decades paying for temporary fixes to a permanent problem.

The Triplex Liner System Is the Permanent Fix

The Triplex Liner is not a coating. It is a new structural wall of fiberglass and a continuous corrosion barrier, cured in place inside the existing structure. The structure gets its strength back and keeps it.

The system has been patented, proven in service, and designed and tested to last up to 100 years in sewer conditions.

How It’s Done

Every liner is measured against the structure it will repair and custom built at our factory. On site, the work moves fast: the structure is prepped, the liner is cured in place, and the structure returns to service. For a typical manhole, installation is completed in a single day.

Engineers can request the full specification package. The disruption a city fears from rehabilitation is the part we engineered out.

Measured and Built

Every liner starts at our factory in Northwest Florida, custom built to the measurements of the structure it will repair, in two pieces: the shaft and the bottom disc.

Prepped and Installed

On site, the structure is cleaned back to sound wall. The crew saturates the liner, lowers it in, presses it into full contact with the structure, and cures it in place with steam and air.

Back in Service

The inlets and outlets are cut and reopened, and the structure returns to service with a new structural wall inside the old one. Installation for a typical manhole is completed the same day.

Built for the Toughest Jobs

Deep, in freezing temperatures, in the middle of Edmonton, Alberta. Some structures are critical to a city's health and nearly impossible to take offline: deep, downtown, on streets that cannot close. That is the work this system was built for. The liner goes in through the opening that is already there, one piece, built for that structure, and the street is back the same day.

What Connecticut Asks Within Two Hours

Connecticut's sewage right to know statute names the collection system operator, not only the treatment plant. Within two hours of learning of a spill that reaches water or could reach the public, the operator notifies the state and the chief elected official of the host town and of the towns downstream, who then have two hours to tell the public.

Reporting is the symptom; the structure is the cause. Where an overflow traces back to a manhole or a lift station that has lost its wall, rebuilding that wall ends it. Where the cause is capacity or a blockage, lining is not the answer and we will say so.

Questions We Get in Connecticut

How long is the structure down?

A typical manhole is lined in four to six hours and returned to service the same day. Larger structures take longer.

We have used coatings before. What changes?

A coating depends on the wall underneath it. The Triplex Liner is a new structural wall, cured in place inside the old one, with the corrosion barrier built into it.

Is this only for manholes?

No. Manholes are the core application, and the same system lines lift stations, wet wells, pump stations and culverts.

What is the service life?

Up to 100 years in sewer conditions, designed and tested. The warranty is twenty years on manholes and ten years on lift stations and wet wells.

Can it go in where the structure is still leaking?

In many cases, yes. A standard installation handles active leaks roughly ten to fifteen feet down, and about twenty feet of head pressure is the practical limit of the traditional method. Severe infiltration, or a structure that has begun to collapse, calls for other measures first. The real limit depends on ground conditions, the water table and the depth of the structure.
